We encourage each of you to reach out to your Senators and Representatives too and let them know about your concerns regarding dyslexia and the issues that your children and/or you are facing. You are their constituents, so it is important for you to keep them informed about what is happening in their districts and your schools.

Decoding Dyslexia North Carolina Goals:
- Mandatory teacher training on dyslexia, its warning signs and appropriate intervention strategies
- Mandatory early screening tests for dyslexia
- Mandatory dyslexia remediation programs, which can be accessed by both general and special education populations
- Access to appropriate “assistive technologies” in the public school setting for students with dyslexia
