With more than 20 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to advocating for students with dyslexia and other learning differences through early identification, evidence-based instruction, and educator support. I hold a master’s degree in Reading, an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership, and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

As a reading specialist and dyslexia advocate, I provide individualized tutoring for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other language-based learning disabilities. I also partner with teachers to develop effective classroom accommodation and instructional strategies for students with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other exceptional learning needs. My passion is equipping both students and educators with the tools necessary for academic success.

Early intervention is at the heart of my work. I conduct dyslexia and early literacy screenings for kindergarten through second-grade students, helping identify reading difficulties before they become significant barriers to learning. I firmly believe that every child deserves access to high-quality literacy instruction and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of how they learn.

As a member of the DecodingDyslexia- NC board, I am committed to increasing awareness, advocating for evidence-based practices, supporting families, and promoting policies that improve educational outcomes for individuals with dyslexia. I believe that through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we can create lasting change and ensure that every individual with dyslexia has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
